In the early 1900s, almost every town across Britain had a MacFisheries fishmonger to supply the appetites of the British fish loving public, and others who enjoyed devouring fish.

Over 326,000 Minor light commercials were manufactured between 1953 and 1971, and so too, were common sights in most villages, towns, and cities.

Alas, with the rise of supermarkets in the 1960s, a gradual decline of the chain was seen, and in 1983, the (Charles Saunders) retail enterprise of MacFisheries was sold. Today, Charles Saunders operates a service delivering specialist catch of the day from Bristol, though no longer runs a Morris 1000!
